Volume 42, issue 3 of the Pleiades: Literature in Context includes a two-page poem by Kate O'Donoghue, "The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl", that heavily references William Blake:
Kate O’Donoghue is a writer from Long Island. She recently earned her MFA from Purdue University, where she now teaches poetry and creative writing. A former fellow of the Bucknell Seminar for Undergraduate Poets, her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Rumpus, Bennington Review, Ninth Letter, Pleiades, DIAGRAM, and elsewhere. In addition to her work as a poet and teacher, Kate is a freelance comic book news writer for Screen Rant. She is proud to be a first-generation American and a first-generation college graduate; she earned her BA at Muhlenberg College, where she also served for two years as the Assistant Director of the Writing Center.
