The works of William Blake and Claudio Rodríguez constitute a clear example of how contrariescan take on great importance. Such dichotomy is mainly depictedin the contrast between nature and the city. According to Blake and Rodríguez, contraries arebothrelevant and necessary. These twoauthorsplace, above all, innocence and experiencein opposition. Furthermore, they are aware that time is devastating. Inthis regard, theirbooks entitled Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experienceand Alliance and Condemnationare quite revealing.
